The sod-turning ceremony for the long-awaited Hartbeespoort Private Hospital took place on Wednesday.

Construction of the R450 million hospital, on the R511 at the Xanadu Eco Estate and Jasmyn crossing, will start soon and it is estimated that the hospital will open its doors in 2027.

The hospital is developed by Phelang Bonolo Healthcare Group (PBH), which has partnerships with Netcare Waterfall City Hospital and Pinehaven Private Hospital. It also owns Botshilu Private Hospital in Soshanguve.

Hartbeespoort Private Hospital will consist of 80 beds, three theatres, medical consulting suites with supporting facilities, an emergency unit, radiology, pathology, a pharmacy and a coffee shop. This modern facility is part of PBH’s expansion strategy to bring affordable, world-class healthcare to more people.

Key services will include emergency services, primary care, specialised care, surgery, maternity services and paediatric care. Specialist disciplines will include, among others, dialysis, neurosurgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, ear-nose-and-throat, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, urology and psychiatry.
Future expansions will include medical oncology and renal care, robotics and cardiac catheterisation.
